Catherine married Johannes Foose July 7th, 1816 in Harrison County Ohio, although the Archer and German County Cemetery book states that her gravestone reads Catherine Loose, wife of John Loose. I believe the tombstone was transcribed inaccurately, probably because it was badly worn. The children of Johannes Foose and Catherine Lowmiller were Mattie Foose (married Daniel Miller), Abigail Foose (married George Cluts), Hannah Foose (married John Arnold), Elizabeth Foose, Sarah Foose (married James W. Parr), Mary Foose, born 1804 and died 1844 (married Jacob Nofsker), Rebecca Foose, born about 1820 (married Elias Miller), and Catherine Foose born 1831. Johannes Foose is listed as John Foose in the 1820 census of German Township (which was then a part of Green Township), Harrison County, Ohio. The family was living in Rumley Township by the 1840 census. It is unclear as to whether the Townhip line moved or the family moved, since their farm was right near the present-day border of the two Townships.
