Dr. Peter TROUTMAN

Birth: Mar. 12, 1816 Kentucky, USA Death: Nov. 12, 1899 Osborne County Kansas, USA Son of Michael A. and Sarah D. ‘Campbell' Troutman. Peter Troutman married Mary Polly Bruce about 1838. They had 10 children: Elizabeth Jane, Harriet, Joseph W., Rachel, Samuel, Levi, Phebe, Jacob, Julia, and John. Peter Troutman Born: Mar. 12, 1816 Died: Nov. 12, 1899 Dr. Peter Troutman died at his home in Victor, Kansas, on Sunday, aged 84 years and 7 months. The deceased was formerly a resident of Macon county and was well known here. He was a native of Kentucky but when a child removed with his parents to Indiana and there he practice medicine for twenty-five years. He came to Illinois in 1856 and lived about four miles west of Decatur, where he engaged in farming. About twenty years ago he removed to Kansas and there he has been engaged in stock raising and farming. He is survived by three sons, Samuel, of Decatur; Jacob, who lives four miles west of Decatur; and John Troutman, who lives at Victor, Kansas. Three daughters also survive him, Mrs. J. H. Cox, of Belle Plaines, Kansas, and Mrs. J. Miller and Mrs. Asa Gulick, living west of Decatur. The remains will arrive in Decatur today and the funeral services will be at Sharon church four miles west of Decatur.
