Harrison, Nov. 2, 1901 - Aug. 1, 1994, Former Royal Center resident Effie M. HARRISON, 92 53811 Crystal Creek, Elkhart, died at 11 p.m. Monday at her granddaughter's home. She was born in Winamac to Sylvester and Clara LEBO REARICK. On Dec. 25, 1924, in Winamac, she married Paul M. HARRISON, who died May 10, 1978. She was a 1919 graduate of Winamac High School and member of the Lucerne Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star 375, Royal Center, a 50-year member of the Harrison Township Extension Homemakers Club and the Progressive Club of Royal Center. She was a licensed funeral director and co-owner, with her husband, of the Harrison Funeral Homes in Kewanna, Lucerne and Royal Center, before retiring in 1967. Surviving are a twin daughter, Jean HOLLENBERG, Mill Creek Farm, Winamac, and daughter Sue BARR, Troy, Ill.; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, eight brothers and three sisters. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center, with Rev. Bill MATHYS officiating. Burial will be at the Grass Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Order of Eastern Star memorial service is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
