Birth: Feb. 26, 1845, Germany Death: Dec. 8, 1910 Pickaway County Ohio, USA Wilhelmina was a native of Burleberg, Germany and the daughter of Wilhelm and Anna Schneider Spindler. Wilhelmina came to America in 1859 with her father and brother Ludwig. Six months after the arrival, Wilhelm died, leaving Wilhelmina and Ludwig on their own in a new country. Wilhelmina first found employment in the home of a friend of President Lincoln. Soon after, Wilhelmina left her brother in Cumberland, MD and came to live on the farm of Dill Wiegand. At Mr. Wiegand's home, she met Daniel Prushing. They married on February 7, 1865. Called Minnie by her family and friends, she and Daniel had eleven children - seven sons and four daughters.
