Birth: Jan. 1, 1810, Germany Death: Apr. 22, 1891 Tuscarawas County Ohio, USA Dover Iron Valley Reporter, April 30, 1891 Miss Anna Elizabeth Humerickhouse was born in Rheinstein, Prussia, Jan. 1, 1810, and came to America with her parents in 1818. They lived at Little York, Pa., until 1830, when she married John Strickmaker and with him moved to Stone Creek, Tuscarawas county, O., and resided there until 1889, when she went to live with her son, Philip, at New Philadelphia. She died April 22nd, 1891, aged 81 years, 3 months and 21 days. She leaves a sister, brother and six children, 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren to mourn her loss. Her husband died April 25, 1874. She united with the German Reform church when she was quite young, and was a faithful member, a good christian mother and kind to everyone. She passed away in peaceful slumber and wish a chrisian faith, and was buried at Stone Creek with the rest of her family, April 24, 1891. Rev. Rust of New Philadelphia conducted the funeral service. "Life's work well done, Life's race well ran, Life's crown well won - And now comes rest."
