Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at NHC Hillview. Funeral services for Mrs. Goodman was at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. Born on October 14, 1928 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late George W. Pitts and Maybelle Goodwin Pitts. She was the wife of the late Glen E. Goodman. Mrs. Goodman was a seamstress and made the uniforms for the Mt. Pleasant High School band. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Pleasant First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children: Brenda Carol (DeWitt) Logsdon of Columbia and Jerry Glen (Marsha) Goodman of Murfreesboro; grandchildren: Jeffrey DeWitt Logsdon and Andrew Charles Logsdon, both of Columbia and Kristen Gail Goodman and Brandon Glen Goodman, both of Murfreesboro; one sister: Margaret Pitts Parson of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Lena Mae Pitts, Cleveland Pitts, Zena Pitts, Cecil Pitts, William C. Pitts, Melvin Pitts, and Nellie Pitts White. Pallbearers were Steve Jones, Jeremy Moody, Brandon Goodman, Sam Goodman, Jeff Logsdon and DeWitt Logsdon. Honorary pallbearers will be Minnie Lindsey, Kay Spears, Betsy Anderson, Tommy Shedd, Jim and Pam Hudson, Helen Douglas, Dr. J. Cummins Couch, members of the First United Methodist Church of Mt.
