Birth: May 17, 1930 Canton Stark County Ohio, USA Death: Apr. 1, 2003 Canton Stark County Ohio, USA Melvin ( Paul ) Fisher, age 72, of Canton, passed away Tuesday April 1, 2003 in The Legends Care Center following an extended illness. Melvin was born May 17, 1930 in Canton, son of the late Rev. Harley and Emma ( Swanson ) Fisher. Paul was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple Faith Builders Class, attended Lincoln High School and he was retired from the Timken Company with 26 years of service to the company. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Herman Fisher. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Christine ( Rowland ) Fisher of the home, one son and daughter-in-law Paul Melvin and Brenda Fisher of Canton one daughter and son-in-law Cynthia (Cindi) and Tim Rohal of Toronto, Ohio, two grandsons Jason and Adam Fisher, three granddaughters, Rachel (Jay) Lowrey and Ashley and Christine Mallorey, one great grandson Drew Lowrey, sister and brother-in-law Ellavee and Dick Vette of North Lawrence. There are numerous nieces and nephews also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00a.m. in the Reed Funeral Home with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
