OTTAWA - Elizabeth L. "Betty" Siefker, 75, of Ottawa died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Cloverdale to the late Edward and Margaret (Inkrott) Korte. On Dec. 26, 1959 she married Amos J. Siefker who died April 27, 1983.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen Siefker of Dickson, Tenn., Kent (Esta) Siefker of Lima, Keith (Lisa) Siefker of Columbus Grove, Gary (Susan) Siefker of Phoenix, Ariz., Dean Siefker of Bowling Green, Ky., and Kevin (Lisa) Siefker of Phoenix, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer (Helen) Korte of Kalida and Charles (Leoma) Korte of Leipsic; and a sister, Louella Cooper of Tampa, Fla.
Her brothers, Ray and Henry Korte and her sisters, Lucille Schimmoeller, Mary Bockrath, and Lora Unverferth preceded her in death.
Betty worked at the Westgate Senior Center in Lima. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima and the Ottawa VFW Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Kalida.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa where there will be a VFW Auxiliary service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
