Herman Fiddelke 62, died at his home in rural Calumet Friday. He was alifelong resident of the O'Brien Co. and had farmed in Calumet and Paullina areas all his life.
Born on April 15, 1909, in Caledonia Twp., O'Brien Co., he married Sylvia Holck on December 23, 1937, at Paullina. He was a member of the Calumet Country Club.
Survivors are two sons, Robert and Richard, both of Paullina; one daughter of Mrs. Gene (Barbara) Eby of Norfolk, Nebraska four grandchildren;two brothers Ray Fiddelke of Paullina;Clarence Fiddelke of Los Angeles, California and four sisters and Mrs. Otto Clausen of Columbus, Nebraska Mrs. Knute Wester of Paullina, Mrs. Delbert Jorgensen of Calumet andMrs. Russell Henderson of Los Angeles, California.
His wife died in a car accident in 1966.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon Nov. 3 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland with the Rev. LeRoy E. Reimer officiating.
Pallbearers were Burnell Segelke, Lyle Mugge, Walter Riebsell, Dalton Rehder, Carl Faust, and Wayne Mass.
Mrs. Donald Ebel was a soloist and Mrs. Loren Drefke as organist.
Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina with the Gaudianfuneral home in charge of arrangements.
