NOTE: In Betham's "Baronetage of England", 1801:"8. Nicholas Barenton,eldest son of the last Sir Nicholas, andbrother to Sir Philip, was living temp Edw II and Edw III havingto his wife Emme, daughter and co-heirto Sir Robert Baard, Knt,by whom he had four sons, Sir John, Humphrey,Thomas and Philip;and a daughter Lettice, who died unmarried. He wassucceeded byhis eldest son."
