Notizen zu dieser Person
Sonstiges: His grandson, Jim Christophersen, remembers how Archie used to sit in his chair in the living room and pound on the arms while watching TV because he got irritated at all the commercials and the Green Bay Packers.
Sonstiges: His granddaughter, Judy Christophersen Boguski, remembers how he almost NEVER got angry at anyone (except the Packers and TV commercials). He was crippled up with arthritis as long as she can remember. He walked with metal crutches with the braces on his forearms. He took the bus or walked to work each day from Maple St. where they lived, even with his crutches, to The Brown County Court House where he was head engineer. This is the only job she remembers him ever having. His "office" was in an underground room connected by tunnels under the Brown County Court House. He usually went to Mass each day before work at St. Willebrod's Church across from the Court House. He and Vi never owned a car.
Sonstiges: Although he was in pain all the time he never uttered a word of complaint. When Vi would come home from work he would have the table set and supper ready. Many times he would even hang out the laundry. After supper he would stand, with his crutches, and do the dishes so his wife could sit and enjoy her coffee and cigarette.
Sonstiges: Archie didn't smoke but enjoyed a drink now and then. They spent their leisure time playing cards with family and friends. She remembers him as a very caring, loving husband to Vi, patient with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judy never called him Grandpa..it was always Archie until she had children, then because of so many grandparents in their lives he became Papa Archie..or Archie Papa.
