Research 2014 1. Goal: Find death record for Cath Maria Kaupman. Find marriage record of Cath Maria and Hermanus Kaup. Find the parents of Catharine Maria. Extend lineage back two more generations at Mastholte. 2. Known facts: Hermanus and Catherine were married by 12 May 1763. Sponsor of Catherine Maria's son, Casparus Kaup baptism, was Casparus Haschenbrinck. Hermanus Kaupman was a widower in 1821. 3. Plan: Could Casparus Haschenbrinck be Catherine Maria's father? Check for baptisms for Catherine Maria Haschenbrinck. 4. Research results: Found a baptismal record for Cath Maria Elisabeth Haschenbrinck, 2 Nov 1741 with parents Casparus and Anna Elisabeth Haschenbrinck. This would make her 22 years old when her son was born. That fits. No death record for Catherine Maria Kaup in Mastholte 1763-1821. 5. Conclusion/Follow up needed: There was not very many baptismal records for the name of Catherine Maria in the 1740's. Found one with same surname of sponsor of Casoar;s baptism in 1763. I believe it to be Catharine Maria's baptismal record. What is the likely hood of this matching up???? No marriage record exist at Mastholte, Need to check a lead I have on paper that has Cath Maria Kaup on it and the year 1783 and Gutersloh. What kind of record is this????
