Ralph E. HOPPES

Er wurde wie seine Ehefrau auf dem Cemetery Hill in Springfield im Washington County im State Kentucky beigesetzt. Ralph E. Hoppes, age 86, of Lincoln Park Road, Springfield, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Springfield Nursing & Rehab Center. A native of Garfield County, Nebraska, he was born on March 3, 1930 to the late Joel and Ella Dora Johnston Hoppes. He was a member of the Springfield Christian Church, a navy veteran and a 1957 graduate of United Electronic Laboratory in Louisville. Preceding him in death was a grandson, Blake Hoppes, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: his wife of 65 years, Doneta Erington Hoppes; a daughter, Tessie Edelen (Pat) of Springfield; five sons, Tom Hoppes of Springfield, Terry Hoppes of Louisana, Rick Hoppes of Springfield, Mark Hoppes (Loida) of Georgetown and Brian Hoppes (Twyla) of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jesse Burns, minister of the Springfield Christian Church, officiating. He will be assisted by Bro. Robert E. Jones, a former minister. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Hoppes, Rodney Booe, Brandon Edelen, Nate Hoppes, Jason Edelen and Richie Hoppes. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
