Er wurde wie seine Ehefrau im Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia im Pettis County im State Missouri beigesetzt. Alvin E. (Dutch) Hoppes, Route 2, died Monday evening, April 17, 1995, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born May 28, 1916, in Alta Vista, Kan., son of Cass and Pearl Swenson Hoppes. On Dec. 5, 1936, in Junction City, Ran., he married Vera Shaw, who survives of the home. Mr. Hoppes was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He worked as a truck driver for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was a farmer. Other survivors include a son, Brigadier General Ron Hoppes, Sedalia; a half brother, Jack Martin, Corpus Christi, Texas; a half sister, Vivian Skidmore, Topeka, Ran.; three granddaughters and a great-grandson.
