Cora Mae CHEUVRONT

DANVILLE COMMERCIAL-NEWS, 10 March 1960. Mrs. Cora May Hickman, 53, of Fairmount Route 2, died unexpectedly at her home at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 9, 1960). She was born April 9, 1906 in Fairmount, the daughter of Walter Edward and Minnie Ethel Jones Cheuvront. On Nov. 25, 1922, she was married in Urbana to Vernon Hickman, who survives. Mrs. Hickman was an active member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church. Surviving beside the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Anita) Dowers of Catlin; five sons, George of Danville; Philip, Catlin; Paul, Decatur; Glen, stationed with the U. S. Navy in Norfolk, Va., and Kenneth, at home; her mother and a brother LaVerne Cheuvront, both of Fairmount; and one sister, Mrs, Stanley Alsip, Ogden. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. Her father and three children preceded her in death. The body is at the Carrington Funeral Home in Fairmount, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted from the Fairmount Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Walter Baker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Familienmitglieder
