Ancestral File Number: 1697-FNP; Z6Q0-36. General Notes: There appear be few connections of Plankenbueler/Zellhoefer, but surfing the www for this surname and it's many variations finds many peopleand most have contradictory data. What has been gathered and posted here on ZellTree certainly contains considerable mis-information, and huge effort in further research might be necessary if accuracy should be seen as critical. While certainly sporadic cleanup efforts will be made as time permits,please take nothing in this line as "set in stone", not here, and perhaps not anywhere else either. Research Notes: Kilian Plankenbuehler is the earliest known person in this branch. LDShas numerous matching records with surname beinging with both "P" and"B". Numerous conflicts and variations, but all fairly consistent. Kilian's birth at a family farm near Gresten, Austria seems well established, probably at Plankenbuehl, and after his marriage probably he was at Ploetzenberg. Both would establish the surname as beginning with"P", which soon transitioned to "B" even amongst the records found ofhis numerous children. Among the surname evolutions are Blankenbakerin Germanna, Virginia. Records found with definite dates and/or locations are considered "best evidence" and used here whenever possible. NO actual birth/marriage/death records have been obtained, thus take nothing of this line as an"absolute". It seems quite certain Kilian had two wives named Martha, and childrenwith each. For this long branch of Plankenbuehler/Blankenbuehler etc, I most trust information by John Blankenbaker, descended froom this Kilian and now living in Pennsylvania. Look for hiw writings "Beyond Germanna". Histravels and research are extensive, and his writings are thorough, detailed, interesting, and exceptionally well documented. His research of this branch extends over much of his lifetime. Noted events: • Occupation: farmer: Gresten Ploetzenberg. The family apparently hadtwo farms - Plankenbuehl and Ploetzenberg. It appears Kilian was bornon the first and later owned and operated the 2nd. Kilian married Martha wife 2-[506] [MRIN: 602] after 10 Sep 1620 in Gresten NOe.1 (Martha wife 2-[506] was born in 1595 in Gresten NOe 6 anddied after 12 Apr 1639.) Marriage Notes: in Gresten Parish Kilian next married Martha wife 1-[2707] [MRIN: 909] est 1603 in Gresten NOe. (Martha wife 1-[2707] was born est 1585 in Gresten NOe and died on 20 Sep 1620 in Gresten NOe.) |

Das File enthält auch mehrere unverknüpfte Teilbäume. Dies gilt vor allem für Pomp im Raum Jägerndorf. Eine Verbindung von Georg Pomp, geboren um 1705 in Lichten (direkter Vorfahr von Alois Pomp *1911) zu einem dieser Zweige konnte bisher (leider) nicht nachgewiesen werden. Die Daten sind zum grössten Teil aus eigener Forschung in den digital zugänglichen Originalquellen bzw aus eigenen Unterlagen (Geburtsurkunden etc). Bei den Quellenangaben fehlt oft die genaue Bezeichnung des Kirchenbuches. Es dürfte aus dem Zusammanhenag aber erkenntlich werden um welches Buch es sich handelt. Für den Raum Franken wurden auch viele Daten aus Sekundärquellen übernommen. Das gilt insbesondere für Müllerfamilien (Wichtigste Quelle: Wolfgang Mück: "Müller und Mühlen im Aischgrund und seinen Nachbartälern", Gesellschaft für Fränkische Geschichte, Verlag PH.C.W. Schmidt, 2010), sowie Exulanten aus Österreich (Quellen: vor allem die Werke von Eberhard Krauß und Manfred Enzner, veröffentlicht von der Gesellschaft für Familienforschung in Franken e.V.)
