<p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>As per Probate records, Christian owned SE 1/4, Sec 25, Twp 148, Range 73, W 5th</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>As per Debbie Beick's research:</p></p><p><p>On Christian's birth record (I have a copy of the original), it does state,</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>"Vater, Christoph Bieg and spouse Elenora Grams" However, Christoph's last</p></p><p><p>name wasoriginally listed as "Bottcher" then crossed out and "Bieg" written</p></p><p><p>in. The sponsor for Christian was Christoph Bottcher, so I am assuming that</p></p><p><p>an error was made and the sponsors name originally written in the father's</p></p><p><p>name space. The error on the last name was corrected, but the first name was</p></p><p><p>not. The birth was in July according to the originalrecords, and the</p></p><p><p>baptism also in July.</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>Karl "Bing" was Christian's cousin Michael, Christians' dad was Jakob's son also.</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>Christian and Justina traveled separately to the US:</p></p><p><p>Christian 54, Gustav 5, Reinhold 3 arrived on the Campania on 6/9/1894.</p></p><p><p>Justina 37, Samuel 15, and Jacob 1/2 arrived on the Campania on 4/16/1894</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p><p>We assume that Gustav & Reinhold were sick and in quarantine, so they waited in</p></p><p><p>Germany for the next passage.</p></p><p><p>&nbsp</p></p><p>Justina and her youngest and her step-son appeared to have gone to her eldest step-son Daniel upon arrival.</p>
