Morris Gothielf WINTER

<p>Morris G. Winter </p><p>(November 29, 1922 - November 25, 2004 </p><p>Morris G. Winter was born November 29, 1922 at Parkston, SD to Gotthielf and Louise (Teide) Winter. He graduated from ParkstonHigh School and the University of South Dakota. He also attended the School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. </p><p>He married Doris Zehnpfennig on August 3, 1948. They had two children, Sally of Lake Andes, SD and Steve of Springfield, SD. </p><p>His career in banking spanned sixty years and included banks in Brookings, SD, Parkston, SD, Armour, SD and Delmont, SD. He established the Andes StateBank in Lake Andes in 1962. He was President and Chairman of the Board of the First State Bank of Armour and the Andes State Bank of Lake Andes. </p><p>Morris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Andes, El Riad Chanters, Masons and Elks Lodge. </p><p>He served on the Board of Directors of Dow Rummel Village, USD Foundation, Lake Andes Nursing Home, Lake Andes Medical Center, Wagner-Lake Andes Irrigation Board and he was a past president of the South Dakota Bankers Association. He also was a founding member of the Ft. Randall Boat Club and the Randall Hills Country Club. </p><p>Morris is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Sally and Steve; six grand children, Justus Winter, Aram Winckler, Alexa Winckler, Jay Petrik, Grant Petrik and Graham Petrik; two great-grandchildren,Dakota Goode and Nolan Black Cloud and two sisters, Elaine (Ray) Plowman and Dorothy (Wayne) Hamilton. </p><p>He is preceded in death by his parents. </p>Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 Halladay-Peterson Memorial Chapel.
