Jacob G. Bauder, 87, of Sterling, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, in Sterling. Visitation and viewing will be Friday, March 19, from noon until 8 p.m. at Chaney Walters Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 10:30 am. Saturday, March 20, at First English Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Andrew Dimit officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bauder was born on Aug. 22, 1911 toJacob and Pauline (Frank) Bauder in Leroy. He lived and farmed in the Leroy and Kelly areas. On June 25, 1938 he married Emma Albrandt in Sterling. Mr. Bauder was employed by Hydrotex for several years. He retired in 1989 and moved to Sterling. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. He enjoyed making windmills and horseshoe planters, fishing, bowling, and farming. Mr. Bauder issurvived by his wife, Emma Bauder, of Sterling; three sons, Charles Bauder and wife Sylvia, and Larry Bauder and wife Linda, all of Sterling, and Jerry Bauder and wife Jean of Leroy; a daughter, Sharon Wilson and husband Dave of Greeley; three sisters, Lenora Wilcox and Alma Lane, both of Sterling, and Emma Suckey of Greeley; a brother, George Bauder of Denver; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the First English Lutheran Church.
