<p>Maria was born on the 4th of July, 1864. Her mother was 18 and her dad was 24. Three months later in October 1864 her dad volunteered for a one year enlistment in the Union Army. He was mustered out in Selma, Alabama in January 1866. Presumably Maria and her mother lived on the property her dad bought on Main Street in Union, Illinois in 1861 and 1863.</p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Maria married William Farley on the 4th of July 1887. Maria had just turned 23. William was a farmer and census information shows that they lived in the small town of Huntley, Illinois. It appears that they never had children. The 1910 census shows the daughter of Maria's sister Johannah living with Maria and William at their home in Huntley. The child's name was Anna Campion and she was 10 years old in 1910.</p><p><p></p></p><p>The 1920 census show Maria as a dressmaker working at home. Her brother Dennis has come to live with her and William in Huntley. Both William and Dennis passed away in 1923. After William's death Maria married Eugene Fargo in about 1925. Eugene passed away before the 1930 census. The widow Maria was living on Church St in Huntley until she passed away in 1937 at the age of 72.
