<p>The only daughter of Carl and Caroline was IDA CAREY SOPHIA KARBERG, our</p>
<p>ancestor. She was born on 2/23/1884 at 86 Louis St. The attendant was</p>
<p>R. Walemmeier. Caroline was 28 and Carl 29.</p>

<p>Ida, her husband John, and children Gertrude and Elmer all went to</p>
<p>Sackett School. Sackett school was located on Sackett Avenue between W.</p>
<p>30th and Fulton. High School started in the 7th grade back then, and the</p>
<p>high school that they should have attended was Lincoln High School. It</p>
<p>was located at Scranton and Clark, on the northeast corner, just a little</p>
<p>north of the library that is on that corner on the other side of the</p>
<p>street. It is unknown if Ida graduated from high school.</p>

<p>Ida was confirmed on 4/3/1898 by Reverend Leonhardt at Zion Church.</p>
<p>Record reads as follows: "This is to certify that according to the</p>
<p>records of Zion Evangelical Church (corner of W. 14th and Branch), Ida</p>
<p>Karberg was born February 23, 1884 and confirmed April 3, 1898, the Rev.</p>
<p>Th. Leonhardt officiating.</p>

<p>1951 City Directory shows that Ida Postier, (widow of John) was living at</p>
<p>3302 W. 30th St.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Ida spent the last 2 years of her life at Willowwood Nursing Home, 1186</p>
<p>Hadcock Rd., in Brunswick, Ohio, after having a stroke on Christmas Eve</p>
<p>of 1973. She died of bronchial pneumonia.</p>

<p>Death certificate shows that Ida Postier died on August 1, 1975 at Willow</p>
<p>Wood Nursing Home, 1186 Hadcock Rd., Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio. She</p>
<p>was born February 23, 1884 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a widow. Her</p>
<p>social security number was 285-05-0191D. Her last residence was given as</p>
<p>4812 Wellington Avenue, Parma, OH 44134 (which was her son Elmer's</p>
<p>address, but she did not live there ever). Her parents were given as</p>
<p>Charles Karberg and Caroline Waffen. (NOTE: Caroline Waffen should be</p>
<p>Caroline Rath). The informant was Gertrude Liebert, Ida's daughter. Ida</p>
<p>died of pneumonia and was buried on August 4, 1975 at Riverside Cemetery</p>
<p>in Cleveland, Ohio.</p>

<p>Cemetery records show that Ida Carey Sophia Postier is buried in Section</p>
<p>14, Row 9, Grave 166. Died 8/1/1975.</p>
