Er wird genannt ab 1427, wurde 1431 von den Hamburgern entführt und blieb kinderlos. Laut Emmius saß er 24 Jahre in Hamburg im Kerker und starb dort.
Imel prägte den "Krummsteert", eine Silbermünze, die einen Löwen mit geringeltem Schwanz zeigte. Vor dem Löwen das Wappen: geviert. I. und III.: ein Adler, II. und IV.: eine Lilie. Herzschild: ein Löwe.
