Nach Schreiber war seine Mutter eine Onsta, nach Heikes eine Wiardisna; der Autor folgt hier Schreiber, obwohl der Name Wiard aber eher auf Wiardisna hinweist.
Kronsweide nennt 1448 einen Wiard Emesna zu Jemgum.
1439 wird zu Nortmoor eine Bawinghesburg genannt (die heutige Uppingaburg).
