- The Mt. Vernon Cemetery is 1 mile east of Eldon, MO and, in
the 1950's was on the N.J. Shepherd farm.
- Could Lucy Sims Delaney, the wife of William's brother,
John, be the same women that William himself married? Yes,
according to The Brockman Scrapbook, page 205.
- In 1834 he put up the first water-powered mill in Miller co.,
MO located on Saline Creek. In addition to this, he also
operated a still.
- In 1850 he was listed in the Uriah and Elizabeth Dooley
household in the Miller co., MO census.
