Obituary: http://obituaries.triblive.com/listing/92774/Hazel-M-Chackan-M/ Hazel M. Keslar Chackan, 75, of Acme, died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 9, 1931, in Acme, a daughter of the late Forrest and Sadie Bungard Keslar. She was a member of the Acme United Methodist Church. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Gay R. Chackan, whom she married on Dec. 30, 1949. She is also survived by four daughters, Sharon Freeman and her husband, James, Brenda Ansell and her husband, Andy, and Denise Kalp, all of Acme, and Lisa Dugan, of Jeannette; nine grandchildren, Angie Wolk, Mike Freeman, Jarrod and Andrea Ansell, Nicole Raines, Chad Kalp and his wife, Melissa, and Colleen, Caitlin and Craig Dugan; and five great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Arminda Raines, Megan and John Wolk and Colten Humphrey. She is also survived by two brothers, Theodore Keslar, of Connellsville, and Shelby Keslar and his wife, Louise, of Indian Head; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Louella Anderson, Mary Catherine Keslar and Carl, Morris, Meryl, Gilbert, Iven, Claude, Josiah and Arden Keslar; and a grandson, Adam Wolk. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Terry Trudgen and the Rev. Doug Burns, co-officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
