Klinedinst, 82,of York, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at 3:20 p.m. at the York Lutheran Retirement Village at Sprenkle Drive. He was the husband of Gertrude S. (Spillman) Klinedinst, who died on January 22, 2004. Mr. Klinedinst was born December 20, 1925, in York County, the son of the late John and Ruth (Hiffmeyer) Klinedinst. He retired in 1976 after 14 years as a sales rep with York Corrugating Co. and prior to that was a draftsman for various companies in York County. He graduated from West York H.S., played in the Ringgold Band of West York for 5 years, served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Central Pacific on Saipan, was a member of Bethany UCC Church, Zeredatha Lodge 451 F. & A.M., Zembo Temple Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon York Forest 30. Mr. Klinedinst is survived by a daughter, Georgette O. Crawford of York; two grandchildren, Ross Crawford and Michelle DeSeta; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia, Eliah, Maggie and Justice DeSeta; a brother, Gerald N. Klinedinst of Chambersburg; a sister, Joyce E. Klinedinst of Reading; nieces, nephews and several cousins. A service will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
