Health Arnett, Lafayette, Indiana. Mrs. Schimmel was born February 15, 1934 in Indianapolis to Lewis Glen and Ethel Jane (Parnell) Sloan. She married William R. Schimmel on September 17, 1948 and he survives. Surviving with her husband, William R. Schimmel of rural Frankfort, are two daughters, Debby (Ken) Doty of Crawfordsville and Pam (Jim) Goss of rural Frankfort; one sister, Nancy Fife of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Bryan (Jen) Doty of Wheaton, Ill., Kevin Radcliff of Frankfort, Durree (Mike) Berrisford of Crawfordsville and Andre (Ryan) Allen of Delphi; and six great-grandchildren, layton, Logan, Ethan, Kenadee, Owen and Aubree. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Sonja; and a half brother, Charles Peters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday July, 8, 2011 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
