Vetter, 93, of 10 Queen Road, Intercourse, died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Lancaster General Hospital of natural causes. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late John and Mary (Bloss) Vetter. He worked as an assistant treasurer for several Banks in the NYC area. He was the husband to the late Josephine (Schretzmann) Vetter and later of the late Gertrude (Somers) Vetter. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in New Holland and a member of the Knights of Columbus. For many years, he played in the rhythm section in many dance bands in the NYC area. He was very fond of Big Band music. Surviving are three daughters, Elaine, married to Louis Speroni of Massapequa, NY, Lisa Maria Vetter and Loretta Lawson, both at home; a grandson, Richard A. Gillis and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death is a son, The Reverend Kenneth G. Vetter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 1:30 PM from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland with The Reverend John Schmalhofer as celebrant. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata. Viewing will be at the Church on Saturday from 1 - 1:30 PM.
