Finke, M.D., passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Horizon's Nursing Home in Eckert, CO. He was 98 years of age. Howard W. Finke was born on October 22, 1910 to Ernest and Mabel (Seller) Finke in Monroe, Washington. He spent his childhood and went to school in Washington. He attended Walla Walla Adventist College where he earned his Degree in Medicine. Doc joined the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a ships Doctor. After the war he went into private practice as a Physician/Surgeon. He was at one time a partner of Dr. Frey in Cedaredge. Dr. Finke married Marie Zorb in July of 2000 at Cedaredge, CO. She survives. Doc enjoyed rock collecting. Memorial Services: Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Cedaredge Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Cedaredge Cemetery.
