CLAIR David F. Schaaf, age 74, of St. Clair, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006. He was born July 21, 1932 in St. Clair. He and Caryll were married on December 7, 2002. David served with the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair. David was time keeper for 48 years for St. Clair High School for all sports. He was inducted in the BCAM Basketball Hall of Honor in 1996. He was a member of the St. Clair Special Police for over 50years and was a 35 year employee of UPS. He is survived by his wife, Caryll; children, Dave (Laurie) Schaaf, Steve Schaaf, Jeff (Linda) Schaaf, Roger (Sara) Schaaf, Laura (Don) Downing and Kirk (Jill) Schaaf; stepsons, John, Eric and Marc Angle; 18 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; his brother, Jim (Alice) Putnam; sisters, Catherine Studer and Ellen (Bill) Marsh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Schaaf; brother, Bill Putnam; sister, Nancy Krueger; and parents, David and Frances Schaaf. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair. Pastor Glenn Stone will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home and Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
