CLAIR -- Dwight M. "Twig" Snodgrass, 79, of St. Clair, died Saturday, July 17, 2004. Twig was born July 28, 1924 in St. Clair to the late Dwight and Cleone Snodgrass. He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1943 and entered the U.S. Army serving as a medic in WWII. Twig married Betty Autterson Oct. 19, 1946. He was the former owner of St. Clair Nursery; was a member of the St. Clair Golf Club, Ducks Unlimited and the First Congregational Church. Twig is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Dwight "Twig" Snodgrass III of Seattle, WA; and daughter, Mary Jane (Tim) Pavlov of St. Clair; grandchildren, Lance Snodgrass, Shannon Snodgrass-Majuer, Aaron Pass, Natalie Pavlov and T.J. Pavlov; one great-grandchild, Landon Majuer; three sisters, Janet O'Brien, Dorothy Schueneman and Patricia Kruesel; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place, No visitation is scheduled. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to John's Hospice or the donor's choice. Originally published Sunday, July 18, 2004 in the Times Herald.
