She graduated from Burlington High School and attended Burlington Business College. She married Marion Romaine Hill and he preceded her in death. She worked for Lafayette Travel Service; where she enjoyed assisting clients with planning and booking their travel destinations. Doris enjoyed crocheting and loved to read, family reunions and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter: Victoria Hill-Bence of Lafayette; 2 grandchildren: Lisa Jackson-Snethen and Jeffrey Jackson both of Lafayette; 3 great-grandchildren: Ariell Snethen, Alexandria Jackson and Devin Jackson. She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Hill and her companion of 41 years: Arthur Delez. Memorial Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, followed by the memorial service at 2 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
