Stoick, born June 3, 1931, to Albin and Elsie Stoick in Bellingham, Minnesota, was one of seven children. Joan married Anthony L. Bunker on August 29th, 1953. Joan is survived by her husband, Anthony Bunker and five children; Denise Reilly of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; Debbie Schwartz of Greenwood, South Carolina; Paul Bunker of Dallas, Texas; Tom Bunker of Overland Park; and Diane Dwyer of Shawnee, Kansas. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joan and Tony recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family reunion in Destin, Florida. Joan was a loving wife and mother who will be fondly remembered by all those who were lucky enough to know her. If you knew Joan, you would know these things about her… Joan was not…a lover of her walker, a lettuce eater, or a swimmer. Joan was…God fearing, humorous, sassy, holy, a world-class cook, adventurous, evangelical, charismatic, a cheerleader, a white wine connoisseur, Cheeto queen, a straight shooter, a punch-line forgetter, head rub lover, mischievous, beach lover, sun worshipper, Republican, Dr. Leonard's moccasin wearer, turkey lover, outlaw, fun thumb wagger, card shark, gambler, Dammit Doll haver, treat hider, ambulance chaser, Adorer, gravy maker, domino player, lover of books, Fox News watcher, an ICU favorite, music savvy, Pro Lifer, no hair colorer, a Rosary sayer, a joyful soul, a caretaker, young at heart and our PRAYER GIANT. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 23rd at 10:00 am. Burial will follow the Mass luncheon on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be at Amos Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:00 - 6:30 pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm.
