Ohio Street, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. from Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. C.H. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the Whiteman Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. today. Mr. Schimmel died Wednesday, (February 4, 1959), at 5 a.m. in his home after an illness of five years. Born in Clinton County on November 19, 1900, he was the son of Edward and Jennie (Robinson) Schimmel. On October 28, 1922, he married Dorothy Sheets, who survives. Mr. Schimmel was a member of the Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. He served as a city councilman from 1948-1951. He had been employed by the Coulter-Smock Furniture store as a salesman for 21 years. Survivors include his wife; one son, Harold C. Schimmel of Frankfort; one sister, Ruth Bethke of Frankfort; and two brothers, Paul Schimmel of Kempton and Cecil Schimmel of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Also surviving are two grandchildren.
