She was born Nov. 6, 1940, in Chicago to Clarence and Hermina Huening. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas, for 30 years, actively involved in music ministry there for many years. She graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake with a degree in English, always interested in education of both adults and especially children, and was a school board member in Hitchcock. She worked at College of the Mainland in adult education, the Texas Work Force Commission and Houston Works as a case manager before retiring, and had volunteered at the Galveston County Parks Dept. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Robinson; parents; and sister, Barbara Huening. Survivors include her sons, Greg Robinson and wife, Angela, Larry Robinson and wife, Irene, Kevin Robinson and wife, Laura; daughters, Michelle Robinson-Lucas and husband, Paul, Laura Foster and husband, Tom; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-grandson; numerous sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews; other family members and friends. On Friday, Feb. 29, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, visitation will start at 4 p.m., concluding at 7 p.m. On Saturday burial will be at 11 a.m. in Strawfloor Cemetery beside her loving husband.
