Born at Back Centre, he was a son of the late Morton and Kathleen (Nowe) Nowe. Cedric started his career as a logger on the Great Lakes and then went to work as a dragger fisherman. He retired in 1993 after working over 30 years in the plant of National Sea Products, Lunenburg. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, where he was a member of the male and seniors choirs and served on the church council. Cedric was an active member of the Garden Lots Cemetery and the First South Cemetery. Cedric is survived by his companion, Caroline Skinner; sons, Lynn and his wife Leanne, Bolivar Road; Christopher and his wife Patricia, Heckman's Island; Trevor, at home; sisters, Joan and her husband Mervyn Feener and Linda Wentzell, both of Back Centre; Janet and her husband Ray Jones, Salisbury, New Brunswick; brothers, Boyd and his wife Blanche, Eric and his wife Doreen, both of Centre; grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrea, Jerylin, Julianne, Krystle. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Geraldine Tanner; brother, Morris and sister, Dorothy Rose. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where visitation will be held Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg. Interment will be in Garden Lots Cemetery. Flowers from the immediate family only.
