Barbara Leone KNICKLE

TANNER, (Knickle) Barbara Leone, 87, of Lunenburg, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2012, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born on September 30, 1925 in Blue Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Fenwick and Leone (Greek) Knickle. She greatly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and time spent with them was the highlight of her life. In later years the frequent visits and outings with her sister Alva and other friends filled her life with much joy. The last five years of her ... life were spent at Harbour View Haven where she was blessed with a warm, nurturing environment. A special thanks to all those who went beyond their role as caregivers to make this a true home for her; the many hugs and milkshakes were truly appreciated. Barbara is survived by her daughter Judy and her husband Tony Brown of Bridgewater, her sister Alva Bartlett, Lunenburg, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril, sons David and John; and brother, Fred. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 2p.m.on Friday November 23rd at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. No.3, Lunenburg.
