Born in Watford, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Howard and Nina (Durland) Silver. He was a farmer all his life and a member of Epworth United Church, New Germany. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian Norse; daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Robert Warden), Chicago; June (Mrs. Eldred Wentzell), Barss Corner; brother, Lorraine, Watford; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Bert, Leroy, Robert, Martin. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. today in Epworth United Church, New Germany, Rev. Grant Walls officiating. Burial will be in Barss Corner Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to New Germany Medical Centre, Arthritis Society, Nova Scotia Division or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of New Germany Funeral Home.
