Her death, after as illness of only three days, came as a shock to relatives and friends. Funeral services, which were held from the home, were conducted by Rev. Theo. Schrader. Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Asleep in Jesus." The pall bearers were Lawson Whynot, Leon Whynot, Cecil Knox, and Fred Veinotte. Besides her sorrowing husband, she leaves to mourn their loss, six children, Dora, Douglas, Delbert, Glenn, Lee, and Wilbert,Jr.; also her father and one brother, Douglas.
