Born in Blue Rocks, he was the son of the late Wallace and Viola (Knickle) Knickle. He had owned and operated Lunenburg Motors until 1982 and prior to his death, he was a car salesman at Simmon's Motors. He served during the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Lunenburg Branch, No. 23. He was an elder of St. Paul's United Church, Blue Rocks and a member of the Lunenburg Board of Trade. He is survived by his wife, the former Lucille Demont; a step-daughter, Michelle (Mrs. Graham Knickle), Bridgewater; two step-sons; Norman and Weston, both of Fredericton; four grandchildren. The body is in Dana L. Sweeney Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today, St. Paul's United Church, Blue Rocks, Rev. Fred Snyder officiating, assisted by Rev.Ellis Boyd. Burial will be in Lower Blue Rocks cemetery. In lieu offlowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church, Lower Blue Rocks Cemetery, or any charity.
