She was born in Berkeley to Virginia Edna Glahn and Varrell Liddell Wilkie, who divorced when she was very young. She and her sister Vicki were raised in Mill Valley by Virginia and her adopted stepfather, John Cameron. Janet attended Old Mill School and later Tamalpais High, graduating in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Leland Rosevear in 1952, and with him, built a home and started a family. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, and loved the companionship and spirituality there for many decades. She was famous for her creativity and passion in the kitchen, but her expertise at jams, cookies, and pies was outstanding and universally appreciated. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia (Ginnie) Nichols and her husband, Leland, and is survived by her sister Vicki, son Don, daughter-in-law Heidi and two adored grandsons. The family will be having a private memorial service. Published in Marin Independent Journal from December 22 to December 24, 2017.
