Born at Blue Rocks, she was a daughter of the late Theophilus and Ida (Greek) Knickle. In her earlier years she worked in a radio manufacturing plant, Danvers, Massachusetts and upon her return to Lunenburg, she worked at Risser's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Blue Rocks. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by son, Fraser, Blue Rocks; grandson, Gregory, Blue Rocks; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Nicole. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Lester Knickle; brothers, James, Andrew "Jack", Fraser, Basil; sisters, Lucille, May Myatte, Olive Knickle, and Grace Kirwin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Ruth Brown officiating. Interment will be in Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery, Blue Rocks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, IWK Health Centre Foundation or Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
