| Der Bruder Helmerich saß auf der Scusselsburg. Die beiden anderen Söhne werden wohl nicht mit ihren Familien auch dort gewohnt haben. Das wäre jedenfalls sehr ungewöhnlich für Oldenburg gewesen.Da mir auch keine anderen Adelssitze bekannt sind, auf denen sie gewohnt haben könnten, gehe ich davon aus, dass sie auf den beiden Meierhöfen der von Aschwede in Aschwege, Grymen und Brockhoff, residierten. Grymen wird dann später wohl vom Urenkel Volquin von Aschwede bewohnt. Nach Helmerichs Tod ist die Scusselsburg dann an dessen Neffen Helmerich, Sohn Gerhards, gefallen, der mit seiner Familie darauf wohnte. G.J. |
