<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Laut Wikipedia starb Lothar I (damals: "Liutolf") mit 39 Jahren als Märtyrer am 2. Februar 880 als einer von 12 Grafen, zweier Bischöfe, einem Herzog und weiterer Edler in der sog. "Schlacht von Ebstorf" oder auch "Normannenschlacht" bei Uelzen in der Lüneburger Heide.</p> <p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Das angetretene sächsische Christenheer wurde von den heidnischen Normannen vernichtend geschlagen. Hunderte gefallene Christen sollen samt ihren Anführern in drei Massengräbern beigesetzt worden sein.</p> <pstyle="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">In den Fuldaer Annalen wurde der gemeinsame kirchliche Gedenktag auf den 2.
