He came to America April 1873. landed in Jackson County, IA. came to Nebraska in autumn of 1875 to Nemaha County.
Worked 8 years as a hired man and began farming in 1881.
Oct. 28, 1881 he married Louise Sophia born Holthus and they had 9 children. 2 died in childhood.

John Herman Antholz's wife died A8g. 27, 1913 and on April 20, 1923 heremarried to Mrs. Sophia Lampe. since then they resided in Auburn, NE.she passed away in 1940.
He was one of the Martin Luther Church founders and was a member therefor 45 years.
Services for him was Aug. 2nd. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church where he was also buried.
