Life Legacy
Donna Rae (Lutjemeyer) Kenning, 70, of Gothenburg, NE; was granted herangel wings on August 13, 2011 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE. Her Final days were spent surrounded by familyand friends that she had touched in someway throughout her life.
She was born January 16, 1941 at the Gothenburg Hospital in Gothenburg,NE, to Harvey and Irene (Jobman) Lutjemeyer. Donna grew up on the family farm in Gothenburg. She was united in marriage to Kenny Kenning in Brighton, CO on December 2, 1970. Their three children are Theresa, Monte, and Mitch. They lived in Boulder, CO; for a short time until movingback to Gothenburg to live on the family farm. She worked at the Ben Franklin store for 11 years. She loved to china paint, floral arranging,crafts, and the Nebraska Huskers. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends; especially her many grandchildren. Shewas a member of the Zion Lutheran ELCA Women's group and played on a women's golf team. Donna loved her morning coffee group.
Her loved ones include her husband Kenny, daughter Theresa (Tim) Holley, son Monte Kenning all of Gothenburg; son Mitch (Stephanie) Kenning ofCheyenne, WY; nine grandchildren: Tiffany (Kenneth) Ronning, Jessy Ellison, Landon (Molly) Ellison, Elissa (Dan) Newbrey, Reed Howard all ofGothenburg; Kasey Kenning stationed in Korea; Brandon Kenning of Colorado; Thomas Kenning of WY; Keeley Kenning of WY; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kole, Adi, Kaitiy Lyn, Dallas, Stetson, Bella, Brennan, Braydenand Easton. And numerous other family and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
