MARYSVILLE- Nelda June Ungerer, age 82, died Dec. 14, 2008. at Topeka Midland Hospice. She was born on June 8, 1926 at Marysville. Her parentswere Herman F. Bargmann and Mary L. Ewert Bargmann. She was married toJames Ungerer Dec. 14, 1947.
She and her husband owned and operated J&N Office supply from 1958 until they retired in 1982. Nelda liked hunting and fishing and gardening.She was a member of American Legion and VFW Aux., active for 60 years in Laureate Gamma Beta Sigma Phi, Pony Express Volunteer Board Member, Supervisory election judge, Mt. Calvary, Merry Widows Club, RSVP volunteer, Euchre Club, Republican Party, she was know for her elephant figurecollection.
She was a graduate of Marysville High School in 1945. She was precededin death by her parents and husband James on Oct. 27, 1987. Brothers: Alvin and Roland Bargmann and sister Viola Blondie Breeding and infant Erna Bargmann. Survivors include: Special Friend: George Eichelberger. Daughter: Marna (Bill) Raymond of Bellevue, Neb. Sons: James Ungerer ofLouisberg, KS. Jeff (Mary) Ungerer of Topeka, Jon (Kathy) Ungerer of Manhattan. Brother: Leonard Bargmann of Topeka and sister Donna Graham ofBeatrice and Darlene Gillilan of Glendora, Calif. 10 grandchildren and1great-grandchild.
Funeral service took place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday , Dec. 18, 2008 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Marysville. Burial was at Marysville Cemetery.
