The Mosemans moved to Pender, Nebraska where Leona was associated withthe Pender Public School system. She taught eight grades of music, band, and kindergarten. She was also as church organist.

Following the death of her husband, Russell, in September, 1957, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska. She became associated with the Omaha Public Schools and taught in several elementary schools. Leona retired from the teaching profession in 1976 from Boyd Elementary School.

Mrs. Moseman was affiliated with numerous professional organizations such as P.T.A., Omaha Education Association, Metropolitan Reading Association, American Association of University Women, and the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers. She received the honor of State Life membership in the Nebraska Congress of Parents and Teachers Organization.

Interment was conducted at the Blair Cemetery with graveside services by O.E.S. Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Leona Katherine Guse’ was born to Gustav and Emma Guse’ on May 5th, 1909 on a ranch near O’Neill, Nebraska. She lived there until age five. The family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from Lincoln High School and entered the University of Nebraska, graduating in 1931 with adegree in Fine Arts. She taught piano, organ, and violin.

She was married to Russell E. Moseman from Lyons, Nebraska in 1929 andthey made their home in Lyons. Three children were born to them: Barbara Leone, Russell Rex, and Mary Ann.

She was also involved in community and church music, Red Cross, community youth projects, was on the Girl Scout Board, and worked with handicapped children. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Blair,and was the organist. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Moseman is survived by her three children: Mrs. Barbara Bull, of Omaha; Mr. Russell R. Moseman, of Blair; and Mary Ann Meyer, of CouncilBluffs, Iowa; her brother, Rex H. Guse’, of McPherson, Kansas; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
