Ervin Heinrich OTTO

Services for Ervin H. Otto, 78, Hanover, were held Oct. 7 at St. John'sLutheran Church, Alta. Rev. Henry Kuhn officiated. Burial was in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery, Storm Lake. Sliefert funeral home, Storm Lake was in charge of arrangements. He died Oct. 4, 1989, Storm Lake. Ervin was born March 26, 1911, to John and Katharan Otto. He received his education in Galva. He married Dora Bedke on February 7, 1937, in Storm Lake. He worked on a farm north of Storm Lake. In 1941 he movedwest of Hanover. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Alta, serving as vice president, trustee and was a member of the buildingcommittee when the parsonage was built. He enjoyed fishing, gardeningand working with the animals. Preceding him and death where his wife; one brother Orville Otto; and one sister Mabel Friedrich. Survivors include one son Larry Otto, Hanover; one daughter Janice Otto, Hanover; onebrother Ralph Otto, Storm Lake; and one sister Opal Hinkeldey, Alta Oct. 11, 1989, The Alta Advertiser.
