Georg B BAUER

George Bauer, an old resident of Turtle Creek, died at his home near Uno, OH, last Saturday morning of paralysis. He had been in poor health for a number of years. He was past seventy-eight years of age. He was born and raised in Byron, Germany, where he resided until he was thirty-five years of age. He then immigrated to this country. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning, "May 2,1899. Uno was a Post Office and Log Cabin School, of which there were some 70 in the, at the intersection of Wright-Puthoff rd and St Rt. 705 in McLean Tnsp [Township] in Shelby,, in an area they called the Black Swamp due to the many deaths called the Black Ague, which was probably Malaria.
